If it is an HE engine, the bolt pattern won’t match the transmission. There are many gents on this forum who has done an efi conversion to their v12 E-types, including myself. Retrospectively, my recommendation is as follows: Upgrade the ignition system by transferring the XJS ignition system (distributor, ignition amp&dual coils) to the E-type.
